They are less likely to be able to help with a lock issue on your own front door, garage, or side gate, which typically sits outside their scope.
What Gatehouse or Security Staff Can Often Help With
Where a community has a manned gatehouse or a security patrol, staff can sometimes confirm a resident's identity and allow entry to the community itself, particularly outside office hours when community management's own office may be closed. Some communities also keep a limited access log for units, though this varies significantly between developments and should never be assumed. Gatehouse or security staff are generally not the right resource for opening your actual front door, since they do not hold locksmith tools or training.
