Check the card and building access system first

Door access cards are used for authorized entry to offices, shared entrances and other controlled areas. A replacement card must match the reader and access system; some buildings require their administrator to issue or enroll it.

Send the card type or a clear photo without sensitive credentials, the reader model if known, and whether you need a spare or a replacement for a lost card. Ask your building or facilities manager who can authorize the request. A card that beeps without opening the door may indicate permissions or a door-hardware fault rather than a card problem.
