My ID is locked inside. Can I still request help?
Tell the team during the first call. Ask which alternative evidence or authorised contact they can accept before arranging a visit. Entry still needs to be authorised; having documents inside does not remove that requirement.
Should I ask my landlord before replacing a lock?
If you rent, check with your landlord or property manager before approving changes to the lock or door hardware. Explain whether you only need access restored or also want a replacement, and agree who can authorise the extra work.
The key is left in the inside of the lock. What should I tell you?
Mention that the key is in the inside cylinder rather than simply somewhere indoors. Send a photo of the outside lock if convenient and describe whether the door closed by itself or was locked. Do not force another key into it.
