Can you fit a smart lock I bought elsewhere?

Can I keep my existing door and keys?
That depends on the door, cylinder and lock design. Some retrofit systems retain the existing mechanical lock; other models replace more of the hardware. We check the fitting requirements and explain which keys or backup methods will remain usable.
Does a smart lock need Wi-Fi to open?
Check the model's specifications. Local PIN, fingerprint or Bluetooth access may work without internet, while remote control can need a connection and additional hardware. Tell us whether you need to open the door nearby or manage access while away.
What happens if the battery runs out?

Is a smart lock always more secure than a key lock?
